Welcome to the IU Philosophy Department’s winter newsletter. There has been a lot going on in the department, and this newsletter particularly highlights some of our graduate and undergraduate student activities. Our lead article was written by two of our recent PhD graduates and describes exciting work that they have been doing in public philosophy, bringing the tools of philosophy to a wider, non-academic audience. We have spotlight articles highlighting the research of a graduate Nelson Fellowship recipient and of the undergraduate recipient of the Biddle Scholarship (awarded annually to a student who is using philosophical training to improve the well-being of others).
