Gain a comprehensive understanding of social, economic, political, and moral issues with the College’s new minor in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics (PPE). PPE is one of the fastest-growing degrees in the U.S. and has become a training ground for political and business leaders around the world. This high-quality, interdisciplinary program equips students with the skills and knowledge to understand and analyze the political and economic institutions of the 21st century, both in the U.S. and globally. It allows students to cross the borders of key academic disciplines, integrating their methods, tools, and insights that raise foundational questions about society, economy, and politics.
The College's PPE minor will be offered beginning in the Spring 2025 semester and will bring a breadth of perspectives. Our cross-disciplinary program embodies the value of a liberal arts education in promoting critical thinking and intellectual civic-minded engagement. The program offers opportunities for students to interact with faculty from the three departments, as well as with guest lecturers from outside of IU.
