Associate Professor Kate Abramson
2023: “Career Connections Fellowship.” Fellowship for the purposes of developing a course (already existing or new one) with an eye to career connections for undergraduates. This is a College-level award, run jointly with CITL’s own Joan Middendorf and experts from the Lilly Foundation. Fellows will meet for 15 hours in May, 2023 (with additional work outside meetings). Each fellow must redesign (or newly design) a class they teach as part of the fellowship.
2021-2022: Kovener Fellow. A fellowship focused on issues of diversity and inclusion in the classroom and pedagogy more generally. It is awarded for, in the words of the program director, “no less a task than devising new curricula and teaching techniques to ensure that all students in a classroom feel welcome and receive the attention they need.”
2020: College of Arts and Sciences David and Cheryl Morley ASURE teaching award for the best ASURE class taught in 2019-2020. “The award was created to recognize College faculty who have proven to be outstanding teachers and exemplified dedication to students coupled with innovative pedagogy within the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience.

2021: CITL Summer Instructional Development Fellowship. The Summer Instructional Development Fellowship (SIDF) program supports faculty members’ efforts to enhance student learning by encouraging innovative approaches to instruction and the development of measurable learning outcomes.
