Part of Jordan Avenue in Bloomington will be renamed Eagleson Avenue on February 1, 2022. A member of that prominent Bloomington family was Preston Emannuel Eagleson, the first African American man to earn a master's degreee in 1906 and it was in philosophy. Read more about it here.
