Kevin Atkins (B.A. ’88, Philosophy) writes that he “Retired in late 2024 after a career of mostly IT, mostly at IU. I promptly took off to walk the Camino de Santiago (Del Norte), the Camino Portuguese, then to explore India, take a short trek in Nepal, and walk the Shikoku pilgrimage in Japan. I’m hoping to spend a good chunk of 2026 walking Ireland and the UK.”

Noam Hoffer (Ph.D. ’17, Philosophy) is a lecturer at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel.
Garth Lindner (B.A. ’06, Philosophy, Environmental Studies, M.S. ’09, Geography) currently works for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Water as a section manager in water management. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at IU’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Lindner earned his Ph.D. in geography from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and lives with his spouse and two children in Indianapolis.
Raymundo Morado (M.A. ’87, Ph.D. ’94, Philosophy) is a full-time researcher for the National Autonomous University of Mexico’s Institute for Philosophical Research.
Jan T. Parmer (B.A. ’77, Philosophy) writes, “I worked 38 years for the Department of Defense in Indianapolis. Retired September 29, 2019. I was in IT the whole time. I started as a system programmer on mainframes, then served as a database administrator, then a Unix/Oracle DBA on midtiers, and finally a DBA on PCs while continuing to be a DBA on midtiers. I developed a huge database that consisted of downloads of all the PC databases in the field, so higher-ups could know where the money was and how much, enabling shrewder financial decisions.”
Hank Waller (B.A. ’22, Philosophy) writes, “I graduated law school from IU McKinney in May of 2025 and work at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in Indianapolis.”
